Why does my water heater run out of hot water so fast?
Common causes are a failed dip tube, a bad lower element on electric units, heavy sediment buildup, or a tank that is simply undersized for your household.
Is a leaking water heater an emergency?
A leak from the tank body means it is failing and can rupture. Turn off the cold supply and the gas or power, then call us. Leaks from fittings are often repairable.
Why does my hot water smell like rotten eggs?
Bacteria reacting with the magnesium anode rod produce hydrogen sulfide. Replacing the anode with an aluminum-zinc rod and flushing the tank usually solves it.
